The 80th Independence Day was celebrated with great patriotic fervour and enthusiasm at Deccan Education Society’s D.E.S. School, Tilak Road, Pune – 30. The celebration brought together all three sections of the school—Pre-Primary, Primary, and Secondary—in a spirit of unity and national pride.The programme was graced by the presence of the Chief Guest, Dr. Sharad Kunte Sir, School Committee Chairperson, Advocate Rajeshree Thakar Ma’am and SSC school topper for the year 2025-2026 Sanvi Holkar. The Headmistresses of all three sections, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff, participated wholeheartedly in the celebration.The programme began with the hoisting of the National Flag honoured by the school SSC topper for the year 2025-2026 Sanvi Holkar, followed by the National Anthem. Students presented a variety of patriotic performances that reflected their love for the nation and their understanding of the values of freedom, unity, and responsibility.The presence and guidance of the Chief Guest, added dignity and significance to the occasion.The celebration concluded with a renewed sense of patriotism, unity, and pride for our nation. It was a memorable occasion that brought the entire D.E.S. School family together to celebrate the spirit of India’s Independence.
