A guru is not just a teacher, but a guide who helps you navigate the journey of life.

Guru Poornima is a sacred day dedicated to honouring and expressing gratitude to teachers and gurus. The celebration serves as a reminder of the importance of the teacher-student relationship and the role of educators in guiding students towards knowledge and wisdom.

D.E.S. Primary School celebrated Guru Poornima with great enthusiasm and reverence. The students and Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) members came together to express their gratitude and respect for their teachers.

The students and parents paid tribute to their teachers by performing padyapuja, a traditional ritual, offering flowers, and presenting them with gifts. The PTA members organised the celebration, acknowledging the crucial role teachers play in shaping the minds of future generations.

The students and PTA members specially appreciated the efforts of our respected Head Mistress, Mrs. Archana Dhanawade, supervisors, Mrs. Gracy D’Souza and Mrs. Simran Gujar, thanking them for their leadership and guidance in fostering a nurturing environment at the school.

The celebration was a beautiful display of respect, gratitude, and admiration for the teaching community.
