Children's Day is celebrated on Nov. 14th in India to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India's first Prime Minister. Nehru believed that children are the future of the nation and deserve love, care, and protection. The day aims to promote children's rights and welfare, foster a sense of responsibility towards child's education and development, recognizing the importance of childhood and adolescence.

Children's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at D.E.S. Primary School on Nov 14. The day was filled with exciting activities, songs, dances, and games, showcasing the talents of our students. The students were welcomed by Headmistress and teachers on the tune of music numbers which made them dance and start their day with first surprise awaited for them. School and classes were decorated with colourful balloons and pictures of cartoon characters all over. Teachers conducted some fun activities for students in class. Students relished tasty ‘Kacchi Dabeli’ before exploring outdoor games arranged for them by all teachers. Some students dressed up as favourite cartoon characters and danced with students and distributed them gifts as token of love which made students happy.

The Children's Day celebration was a success, bringing together students and teachers. The idea of celebration was of Headmistress Archana Dhanawade and was executed by supervisors, teachers and school staff.  The event showcased the school's commitment to nurturing young minds
